Awesome Doctor, knee injury, was not feeling comfortable getting it checked , since seeing and treated by Doctor Harwood I have so much peace and trust in him .

Dr. Harwood is one of kind concerning medical doctors in the Bay Area and in Morgan Hill. I was so depressed after being told by Dr. Mulumphy at Ortho Norcal that I needed a total hip replacement as she showed me someone else's hip xray. I couldn't believe it. I'd had this groin pain for 40 years and at 77 y/o noticed it was becoming more of an issue, but not hours per day!! Minutes, maybe, with certain activities. I thought I'd get a PT referral. But NO ...a total hip replacement. She said I had "severe osteoarthritis of the right hip". I heard about Dr. Harwood from a dear friend and got a copy of my xray and consulted him. The xray I was given was NOT the xray Mulumphy showed to me the day of my visit with her. It was hard to see any abnormality as I stared at the xray waiting for Dr. Harwood to come into the exam room. Dr. Harwood explained that I had a 1/4" narrowing of the hip joint within which the femoral head rested causing some inflammation to occur which resulted in my pain. Further, he said, some women beginning in their 30's and 40's experience a rotation of the femoral head within the hip joint causing groin pain with or after exercise and when seated for long periods. Exactly my situation! He recommended daily glucosamine and tumeric supplements for 2 mos. to see if that alone resolved my pain. NO TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT was necessary!! After two weeks on the supplements my pain is 90% resolved. Dr. Harwood cares about his patients and offers honest diagnoses, not ones that will make him money ie surgeries!! Can't say the same for Mulumphy and Ortho Norcal. Beware! Don't hesitate to see Dr. Harwood. He is the BEST!

I was one who rarely ever got sick or injured during my 66 years of life! My walking ability started to become an issue........a tightness in my hips! I could swim fine but getting to the pool was getting worse over time! My doctor gave me a referral 6 months ago and things are looking up! Next week I will be having my second hip replacement! Dr Harwood did a fine job on my left hip so I can't wait for him to fix my right hip! After surgery you must take therapy seriously to make the most out of his tidy work! 5 stars in every way possible!

Dr. Harwood is by far THE BEST. He's very caring, honest, humble & takes time to listen to the patient to understand the type of injury & explain the solutions available, in detail. He's completely committed to his patients. Previously, I had a surgery in 2017 performed by a different surgeon which didn't help at all. I was in severe pain when I came to see Dr. Harwood in the beginning of 2020. He immediately understood the condition, tried non-invasive approach first to see if there was any improvement before he jumped in to surgery. But once he did the surgery, I had such a relief. I was able to walk, stand & do my regular chores without any issues. And then I fell again & re-injured the same ankle where I had the surgery. Went back to see him again, tried all non-invasive part of getting the ankle strong but couldn't. The only option was to do a repeat surgery on the same leg. To our surprise, within 10 days of surgery, I am able to walk now. I am so happy I came to see him. His staff is very courteous just like him. Wish he could have another office in the East bay.

I have never had such a Dr. or his staff who did their jobs so well! I had knee surgery, and so pleased at the results! Dr. Harwood takes the time to explain everything. He is more than a great Dr., he is a wonderful person! He answers all your questions so you can understand the procedures .

I have had many bone issues. One by one Dr. Harwood has definitely made my life easier! He has a “real” explanation about what is going on with me. He’s smart and confident not to mention having a great bed side manner! His staff is excellent and personable, like family! I actually like going to the Dr. now!

Dr. Harwood is a lifesaver. In 2014 I suffered a severe knee injury where I tore all four of the major ligaments in my knee and was told I may not be able to run again. After two surgeries performed by Dr. Harwood and a year of physical therapy I was back squatting in the gym, playing sports and had a tighter knee than I had before. A life altering injury was minimized thanks to Dr. Harwood, I can't thank him enough.

I fractured my ankle and due to my medical insurance had a difficult time finding a provider .. Dr. Harwood's staff was so helpful in figuring this out for me and actually gave me the very last appointment Friday night. Dr. Harwood was terrific and explained all the pitfalls with my upcoming travel plans to Colorado.. I am grateful that I met such a caring doctor .. thank you so much!

Back in 2010 Dr Harwood became my doctor and everyday I thank god he came into my life. He has stood by myside thru all my health issues and when he couldn’t solve the problem he would send me to some awesome doctors out there who could. So thank you once again Dr Harwood for always being there for me thru all my health issues.

I am a 70+ yr. old lady who hates growing old and likes to take care of myself a.s.a.p. I have had many, many surgeries by different doctors to address my bones as they begin to fall apart. I am so pleased I found Dr. Harwood a couple of years ago to take care of a needed knee replacement. This Doctor is obviously very sought after as he seems to have no time for what I call the dreaded pharmaceutical sales people; he puts his patients first. This Doctor is easy to talk to, explains what you don't understand and allows the patient to think for themselves regarding procedure plans. This Doctor exudes confidence of himself in his work, and it shows. I never schedule anything else on the day of my appointments. Even if I have to wait beyond my scheduled time, this Doctor is very much worth it!! I love his office atmosphere, his staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain their role in helping the patient. The office has a very happy atmosphere! I recommend Doctor Harwood to anyone who starts talking to me about their aching bones......

For over a decade I have been a happy patient of Dr. Harwood. Being an RN of many years I know a great dr. vs. not so good. Dr. Harwood is 10 stars. He listens and does not push for surgery. He is gentle. We are a team regarding caring for my old knees. His office team are polite and respond quickly. Lisa deserves extra kudos as she is a special patient advocate. Dr. Harwood and team rock!!

We have seen Dr. Harwood since 2007 until present, due to a really active family, injuries happen when you are having fun in sport, he is our number one Dr to go.
Kids always feel comfortable when he ask the question related to their injury always, explains the type of injury as well of the solution to the injury.
Kids and husband always in pain do to the injury but happy to see him. Done couple surgeries on kids but never had any problems after is done. Like any injury always takes time to recover but he guide you all the way with follow up appointments he will help with with any question that you have after surgery and kids always listen to what he has to say for the next step to recovery.
Great people working with him as well.

Dr.Harwood is my hero! I have a condition that effects my connective tissue and he is the only doctor who gets and understands it! He has gone above and beyond to help me. I don’t know where I’d be without him! He’s the best!
